Windows 7 network icon red x

In Windows 7, after a couple of weeks of running Hamachi VPN, the internet symbol in the device tray reflects a red "X", indicating I have actually no network connection:

*

This is false, as I am not only linked to 2 netfunctions, I"m also connected to the internet (as presented below), therefore, the symbol need to display no errors.

I"ve researched the LogMeIn Hamachi assist forums and several various other related forums and also no one appears to have posted a working solution.

What I"ve Tried So Far:

I have unset up Hamachi

I reset the neighborhood LAN adapter.

I have actually readjusted the order of provided relationships in Network Connections > Cutting edge > Adapters & Bindings

I have disabled IPv6 on both netfunctions, and also one at a time

I deleted the "Incoming Connection" I had actually for my Windows 7 VPN in Netjob-related Adapters

I"ve run my research resources dry and also I"m out of concepts. Any suggestions?

Click Start, , type regmodify, and then push ENTER.

Locate and then click the adhering to regisattempt subkey: HKEY_LOCAL-MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlNetwork

Right-click this subcrucial, click Export , and also then save the selected branch in a document.

Click the Network subcrucial aobtain, and then delete the Config entry. Do not delete the >Network-related subkey. The Config enattempt will certainly be recreated as soon as you restart the computer.

Rebegin the computer system. You may need to manually rotate off the computer system.

The config vital is re-developed on the next boot up.

If you are able to verify that you are associated to the internet, the icon have to have no bearing on anything. However, I deserve to understand also exactly how it is difficult to look at. Try opening a command also prompt as an admin and also typing:

c:ipconfig /releasec:ipconfig /renewc:ipconfig /flushdnsc:ipconfig /registerdnsSee if any of these help.

I competent the very same problem without any kind of VPN put up. What resolved it was to make certain the Network Connections company was running.

To permit the service, press the Win key, they begin keying "Service". Go to Services, discover Netjob-related Connections (click on the Name column to sort), ideal click, Properties, and pick Startup Type to Manual. Start the company, and the icon need to change to the Wireless settings one.

*

I had disabled the service in an attempt to mitigate the number of processes running on the system, and it didn"t seem to cause any trouble other than the icon looking choose a netjob-related cable, instead of the wiremuch less signal bars.

This happens whenever you erected a new incoming connection.

It happened to me a while earlier and I was unable to uncover a solution acomponent from going to "Network Connections" and deleting the incoming link.

I think it"s just a glitch within Windows.
