I was on my computer between classes on campus today as soon as my computer system should have shut dvery own immediately. It was on battery power. I checked my battery level and it was at around 20% when I acquired up to go throw ameans some trash and once I came ago, it was shut dvery own, which is weird because I wasn't gone for even more than 10 seconds. I thought it was weird, but in all honesty, I was on my way to class and also I was around to shut it dvery own anymethods so I didn't worry about it.

I simply gained residence a couple of hrs back and my laptop has been in my backload the whole time. I tried booting it up while I got out the power cable bereason I kbrand-new it was low and also I constantly store it plugged in when at house but it didn't turn on even though it must have 20% battery left. I plug it in and it boots up through the black page that claims "resume windows normally", as if I had actually let it run out of battery. After it starts (I guess it put itself to sleep/hibercountry, not shut down), there's a red X on my battery symbol in the tray and also it's informing me that "Consider replacing your battery." and when I click the symbol, it says "There is a difficulty via your battery, so your computer system could shut down unexpectedly."

I assumed it was weird, so I rebooted, that didn't fix anypoint, so I shut down and also pulled out the battery. I experienced that the initially battery switch point (the switches where you slide one to unlock and also then hold the various other to remove the battery) was unlocked, so I assumed it must have actually been accidentally moved and also that was resulting in the warning.

I rebegan and also it's still there. The computer system is virtually 2 years old currently yet I didn't think that that was too old... Do I should replace my battery, or is it something else?

INFORMATION: I'm running Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite A505-S6005. I haven't mounted or updated anything newly, and also I haven't noticed a loss of charge on my battery. If it matters, the battery should be an extfinished length battery or something because it butts out under the case and also lasts more than likely 4 hrs through light to medium usage. But it's the one that came through the lapoptimal, not one that was put in later.

Also, I did a quick Google search and also pertained to no solid conclusion other than that it was a big enough trouble that Windows/HP/Toshiba were probably working on a solution, yet those short articles were from a few years ago. This is one more nail in the "I will certainly never buy a Toshiba product again" coffin... Thanks for your help in breakthrough, you men are great!

TL;DR: My laptop shut down suddenly on campus this particular day, and once I plugged it in and turned it on at residence later on, it provides me the warning that's the title of this post.

EDIT: The basic consensus appears to be that I need to be in the industry for a brand-new battery. Thanks for all the help!
